Tropos Motors has named Wolter Group LLC its Midwest distributor to sell and service Tropos’ ABLE electric compact utility vehicles (eCUVs) and accessories.
The Wolter Group is headquartered in Brookfield, Wis., where the vehicles will be assembled. Wolter Group is a family-owned/operated group of companies consisting of Wisconsin Lift Truck, Illinois Material Handling, Ellis Systems, Wolter Power Systems and Fleet Services. The company’s 55-year history lies mostly within the material handling industry, with extensive experience in reducing fleet expenses.
“Becoming the Midwest distributor for Tropos Motors is a natural partnership for us,” says Jerry Weidmann, president of Wolter Group. “Our team is skilled in reducing the total cost of ownership of fleets and has navigated many customers through the process of converting from internal combustion vehicles to electric vehicles. We look forward to expanding our electric equipment portfolio to better serve customers.”
“With a large presence in Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan and Indiana, as well as 190 certified technicians, Wolter Group has the breadth and scale to reach this important market area,” adds Jeffrey Esfeld, director of national fleet sales and business development for Tropos Motors. “We look forward to a long relationship.”
