Tropos Motors takes After Sales Technical Service, Warranty and Parts Support very seriously. We understand how important the after-purchase-experience is to end users, fleet managers and dealer/assembler partners. Building a great product is only half the promise we make. We realize that the level of After Sales support we provide can be the only measure of ultimate success and customer satisfaction. We are committed to making sure each and every ABLE vehicle we sell is properly supported, which means we’ve taken measures to make sure we have exceptional parts and technical support in place to take care of any problems that may arise. Whether you are a dealer principle, fleet manager or end user you can buy or sell a Tropos Motors ABLE with confidence because we’ve taken care of the details. Here are just a few of the systems we’ve put in place:

Parts Support and Availability

Tropos Motors stocks a large inventory of spare parts in our California and New Jersey facilities as well as provides dealers with information on fast moving and normal replacement items to help them place orders to help manage their internal inventories as well. This includes an up-to-date Parts Catalog that lists every part carried by Tropos Motors for the ABLE line. We place regular orders and have shipments of replacement parts arriving on a monthly basis.

Technical Support

Tropos Motors has factory-trained technicians on staff in our technical service department in Morgan Hill, Ca. They are available by phone or email on a daily basis. In addition we offer technical service training for every dealer we bring on board.

Warranty

Tropos Technologies, Inc. and Tropos Motors, gives a TWO-YEAR/16,000-MILE (25,749 km), whichever comes first, LIMITED WARRANTY on all components (except lithium-ion drive batteries) of your Tropos Motors vehicle against defects in material or workmanship. Mileage is unlimited for the first 6 months of the vehicle warranty. Any time after month 6, the vehicle warranty expires at 16,000 miles (25,749 km) or at the end of the two-year period, whichever comes first. This warranty covers the parts and labor charges for repair or replacement of defective parts and begins on the date of purchase by the original retail purchaser. This warranty is transferable to another consumer during the warranty period through a Tropos Motors dealer, but any such transfer will not extend the original term of either warranty. The duration of this warranty and/or the battery warranty may vary by international region based upon local laws and regulations.

Troubleshooting FAQs

Please follow these steps:

  1. Make sure the charge cord is disconnected

  2. If in (D), (E), or (R), return the gear selector to neutral (N)

  3. Wait 3 seconds to reset

Please follow these steps:

  1. To lock the doors, make sure that both doors are forcefully shut

  2. Twist the key in the door lock until you hear a click, indicating that both doors have
    locked

  3. Pull each door handle to ensure that the doors have locked

The vehicle is equipped with only one reverse light.

 

The washer fluid tank will only hold a 1/2 gallon (1.8 liters) of windshield washer fluid from empty. Overfilling may cause the washer fluid to leak.
